Chevrolet powers the Silverado with four engine options as well. The standard engine is a 4.3L V6 that delivers 305 lb-ft of torque and 285 hp. This engine is paired with an automatic 6-speed transmission. The second engine option is a 2.7L turbo 4-cylinder that generates 348 lb-ft of torque and 310 hp and comes mated to an automatic 8-speed transmission. Up next is the available 5.3L V8 that creates 383 lb-ft of torque and 355 hp with an automatic 10-speed transmission. The fourth and final engine offered for the Silverado is a 3.0L turbo diesel 6-cylinder that pumps out 460 lb-ft of torque and 277 hp with an automatic 10-speed transmission as well. With the Silverado, RWD is standard but 4WD is offered.

2021 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Ram offers seven trim levels for the 1500 model in the 2021 model year. The base Tradesman trim level comes outfitted with features like a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, a 6-speaker sound system, trailer sway damping, 18-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, and a 5-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect infotainment system. The base Work Truck trim comes outfitted with a locking tailgate, a 7-inch touchscreen, air conditioning, Apple and Android smartphone integration, power windows, 17-inch steel wheels, and a 6-speaker sound system. The Silverado’s higher trims add features like LED cargo bed lighting, chrome exterior trim, LED lighting, automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, a power tailgate, navigation, and wireless phone charging.
