Engines available for the Ram 2500
There are two available engines for the Ram 2500, and they both will give you a ton of towing and hauling capability. The standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 with a solid 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The option for most trims of the Ram 2500 is a 6.7-liter turbodiesel which kicks out 370 horsepower and an outstanding 850 lb-ft of torque which is among the best in the class. Front-wheel-drive comes standard on each version of the Ram 2500, but if you're looking for better traction for lousy weather or off-roading, then you can opt for four-wheel-drive. If you are looking to haul all kinds of different things around, that's what the Ram 2500 is made for, as it can haul around 20,000 pounds with a 4,010-pound payload capacity.
Tech Items for the Ram 2500

New for the 2023 model year is the Rebel HD which enhances all of the off-road qualities of the Ram 2500 thanks to the standard four-wheel-drive, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, hill descent control, off-road suspension tuning, and a rear limited-slip differential. Other off-road items for the Rebel HD include a locking rear axle, underbody protective skid plates, and recovery hooks. In addition to all these impressive off-road items, the Rebel HD also has several practical features such as LED headlights and foglights, cab clearance lighting, sport hood design, a remote rear tailgate release, black exterior badging, and a digital instrumentation display. You also get some luxury items, such as cloth seats, all-weather floor mats, power-adjustment pedals, and a surround-view camera system.
