Everyone knows that Jeep has made it a goal to really make sure that their vehicles never fall behind the curve. That’s already apparent in all of the changes they continue to make in their lineup. What we didn’t expect in the 2021 model year was for Jeep to expand in another way, which is giving the Grand Cherokee a three-row option! That’s right, we’re here to introduce you to the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, which is here to give you and your family more space than ever to spread out and take a journey with the people you like best. We want to give you all of the latest information on this SUV, and what it means for you as we await its arrival to dealerships! Either way, Jeep has knocked it out of the park again.

What does the Grand Cherokee L have for 4×4 capability?

When it comes to Jeep, it’s a brand that is known primarily for all of the extraordinary off-roading abilities that come with each model. That’s why it shouldn’t be a surprise that Jeep has made sure that the Grand Cherokee L comes with all of the features you’ve come to expect! This even includes the three 4×4 systems that you can choose from, including Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. These systems are equipped with an active transfer case, which works to improve traction by shifting the torque to the wheel that has the best grip. We also want to mention the air suspension that’s named Quadra-Lift, which delivers class-leading water fording and ground clearance. We can’t forget to mention Selec-Terrain, either!

What engines are available with this SUV?

While we’ve already mentioned off-roading, we haven’t touched on what kind of power you’ll be getting out of this SUV. We are happy to announce that there are two engines that will be available with the Grand Cherokee L. Both of these engines get an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, which can get you around 257 pound-feet of torque and 290 horsepower. You’ll be able to tow up to 6,200 pounds, and even get a driving range of almost 500 miles. The other engine that we’re looking at is the award-winning 5.7-liter V8, which offers 390 pound-feet of torque and 357 horsepower. Here you can tow up to 7,200 pounds!

What will I find for safety with the Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

We’ve been spending a lot of time discussing what the Grand Cherokee L can do, but not how it can keep all of your passengers safe. That’s why we’re happy to tell you about all of the standard and available safety features that you’ll be able to find throughout. Some of the standard features include lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, a tire-pressure monitoring, full-speed collision warning, ParkView rear back-up camera, advanced brake assist, LaneSense lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Some of the available features include active driving assist, a night vision camera, a digital rearview camera, and parallel/perpendicular park assist.
